This week I worked on a set of cards that I will swap as part of a Facebook group. I haven’t done a swap before so not sure what to expect. I took the opportunity to play with some older set that I have in stock and relied on my Stampin Up colors.

For this trifold card I used a similar watercoloring technique to the tropical wedding album posted in the gallery.
I used the Altenew Hibiscus Bouquet stamp and die set, Stampin Up inks and heavy Whipped cream paper. The sentiments come from the Altenew Pinstripe and Dainty Swiss Dot stamp sets.
It is hard to see but the background is sprinkled with shimmer spray from Smooch Spritz.

This has been one of my favorite Altenew Sets, Leaf Canopy, because it is simple and elegant. I used a blue-green colored vellum and stamped Versamark watermark, then heat embossed with detail Gold powder. I stamped the sentiment on white paper and heat embossed in the same gold powder.
The background is the Altenew Pinstripes, stamped in Stampin Up Pool Party. The mat layer is white with a Alenew fine frame cut from gold paper.

This was the most fun card to do with the bright colors and energetic images.
This set is an altenew / Amy Tangerine collaboration set, Through the Rainbow. The rainbow stencils were inked with Stampin Up colors then the overlay was stamped and heat embossed with denim blue powder.
The sentiments were stamped and heat embossed in the same denim blue powder.
The sun in the upper corner was created by cutting out the large circle of the Spellbinders Art Studio Abstract die set, and coloring with Stampin Up ink. Then from the same die set, cut the crosshatches so the blue from the card base shows through.
The paper used is all Stampin Up.
The last card is a pretty floral card which isn’t my typical style. I like how this came out though. I used a set from Altenew, Modern Anemone stamp and die set which was included with Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine issue 200.
I paired it with paper from the Altenew / Pinkfresh Studios Collaboration titled Celebrate. The ink colors are from Stampin Up. The arched die is from my stash and isn’t marked by the manufacturer.
The flower outline and sentiment are stamped in grey to match the paper, and the floral ink colors were also intended to match the paper colors but lighter. There is also a gold 1.8 inch stripe of gold separating the background papers, this is a Love From Lizzy peel-off sticker in mirror gold.
