Day 11 –
Ah.. the sentiments I’ve been waiting for. If I could only go back and add these to some of the tags I’ve already completed and posted… Oh, I will do that when I get through this month.
I was feeling very “fall” or “Autumn” today due to our unseasonable warm temperatures and foggy fall mornings. This helped me select the fall colors from my Color Cube.
Tag Measurements – 2.5 x 4.25 inches
Assembly instructions –
- Die cut tab from dark brown heavy cardstock.
- Cut strips, 2 x 6 inch, from Yellow (Crushed Curry), Orange (Pumpkin Pie), Red (Cherry Cobbler), and a Medium Brown (Close to Cocoa)
- Emboss each strip with embossing folder from Day 6.
- From each embossed strip, trim to the center row of circles, about 1/2 inch.
- Cut 3/8 inch strip from off-white (Very Vanilla) cardstock.
- Stamp sentiment with embossing ink on strip, heat emboss with copper embossing powder. Trim sentiment strip and cut the left end to create flag.
- Die cut large flower, large fan, large stem, small stem, pod tip and pod from Day 5 from off-white (Very Vanilla) cardstock.
- Assemble flower – layering fan under large flower adhere, adhere large stem to the surface of the large flower. Adhere the pod tip under the pod and adhere the small stem under the pod. Adhere the pod stem to the large flower stem as desired.
- Adhere the colored strips to the tag, I used the reverse side of the embossing pattern face up. Starting about 1/4 inch from the bottom, adhere the medium brown strip. Adhere the red strip 1/4 inch above the medium brown strip. Adhere the orange strip 1/4 inch above the red strip. Adhere the yellow strip 1/4 inch above the orange strip. Adhere the sentiment to the right side, 1/8th inch above the yellow strip.
- Adhere flower and pod center to the stripes.
- Add sequins as desired.
- Add ribbon
