Day 16 –

Today we have some sentiment banner dies. Very helpful to finish these tags and can be used for a number of occasions. Or, for no specific reason at all.

I was inspired by the paper I found in my stash when making this tag. If you look real close, you can see some butterflies in the pattern. I matched the colors as best I could for the stenciled butterfly (day 7).

Also, it may be difficult to see, but I used some Wink of Stella on the butterfly for some subtle sparkle.

Tag Measurements – 2.5 x 4.25 inches

Assembly instructions –

Die cut the stitched tag from patterned paper.
Using a 3 x 4 (or larger) piece of off-white (Very Vanilla) cardstock, stencil butterfly blending dark at the body, and lighter to the outside.
Free cut the butterfly from the off-white (Very Vanilla) paper, leaving a margin to match the veining in the butterfly wings.
Cover the colored space with Wink of Stella for a glimmer.
Die cut the sentiment banner from Off-white or very light tan (to match the patterned paper).
Die cut a colored solid banner from cardstock to match the patterned paper. I selected a rose color cardstock scrap.
Layer the sentiment banner on top of the colored banner and off set slightly so the color shows along the bottom edge. Adhere.
Assemble tag – Adhere the sentiment to the top of the tag. Adhere the butterfly to the center, applying glue only to the butterfly body. Attach gold lines to the bottom of the tag as desired. A gold pen would also work.
Fold the butterfly wings up, along the body to give them some dimension.
Add ribbon.
