Day 17 –

Yea… sequins! I love me some bling and the spellbinders flat sequins are so easy to use and glue down really well.

I’m not usually a shaker card kind of gal, but thought I would try it with these sequins.

I went back to the peanut and butter and jelly from day 10 with the purple sequins from day 9. I also get to use the “great pair” sentiment from day 5. For the sentiment strip, it is layered on a strip embossed with the folder from day 6.

The hearts seem a little superfluous, but I had Valentine’s Day in mind which always need hearts.

Tag Measurements – 2.5 x 4.25 inches

Assembly instructions –

Die cut sticked tag from patterned paper. If the paper is thin, then also cut a white cardstock tag to layer and make a heavier tag.
Die cut bread crust (2) from medium brown cardstock scrap.
Die cut bread inside (2) from off white or light tan cardstock scrap, (2) from clear acetate, and (4) from a foam sheet.
Repeat die cut the inside of the light tan bread with the “spread” (2) and the (4) foam sheet pieces.
Adhere the light tan bread to the acetate creating a window.
Color the acetate of one bread window a light purple and the other bread window a light brown/tan. I used alcohol markers for this. Allow lots of time to dry.
Layer 2 of the foam bread windows and adhere.
Adhere the foam bread windows to the bread crust (2).
Fill one of the bread crusts with purple sequins and the other with clear sequins.
Adhere the colored bread windows to the crusts… Purple on the purple sequins and the tan on the clear sequins. Creating 2 bread shakers, one jelly and the other peanut butter.
Cut a white strip for the sentiment, 3 x 3/8 inch.
Stamp sentiment in black.
Dry emboss white strip, 3 x 1/2 inch, down the center of the folder to capture the full circle.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the embossed strip, centered.
Punch two hearts, 1 purple and 1 tan.
Assemble the tag – Adhere the shaker bread pieces to the tag, slightly overlap and slighly hanging over each side. Leave enough space at the bottom to attach the sentiment strip. Adhere the sentiment strip and adhere hearts as desired.
Add ribbon.
