Day 18 –
I was feeling very retro with this wavy corner die, that came with the crafty advent calendar today.
For this tag, I chose a 70’s color palette. The Stampin’ Up Retro Fresh DSP is one of my favorites for this genre.
For the image, I chose to go back to the “belly rub” puppy/dog die which is so cute. Using colors that coordinated.
Tag Measurements – 2.5 x 4.25 inches
Assembly instructions –
- Punch 2 hearts from the solid red/orange cardstock scrap.
- Die Cut the dog body, ears, nose, and sentiment from a dark brown scrap paper.
- Die Cut the spots and front feed from the light brown cardstock scrap
- Die Cut the mouth and hanging tongue from a pink cardstock scrap.
- Die Cut the color from one of the coordinating colors cardstock scrap.
- Cut 1 tag from the patterned paper (SU Retro Fresh), 4 coordinating solid cardstock colors (SU Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango) and off white (Very Vanilla).
- Layer and adhere the patterned paper tag over the off white tag.
- From each of the colored card stock, due the corner waves from the right side bottom of the tag.
- Then cut the left side.
- Layer and adhere the wave segments in the sequence desired. I started from the bottom right, worked my way up to the larges wave. Then layered and adhered the left side, again, starting from the bottom and moving up.
- Assemble and adhere the “belly rub” dog – Attach mouth behind the body, and ears behind the mouth. Attach nose and tongue to front of body, attach the collar, front feet and spots. Adhere to tag, slightly left of center.
- Adhere the sentiment to the tag, bottom left quadrant.
- Add Punched hearts to the tag as desired.
